Preliminary study of anti-infective function of a copper-bearing stainless steel
TL;DR: In this article, a copper-bearing stainless steel was developed to reduce the incidence of implantassociated infections in clinical areas, and its anti-infective ability was preliminarily studied both in vitro and in vivo by means of antibacterial test, confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations, and animal implantation.

Antibacterial effect of 317L stainless steel contained copper in prevention of implant-related infection in vitro and in vivo
TL;DR: Overall, 317L–Cu demonstrated strong antimicrobial activity and biocompatibility in vitro and in vivo and may be used as a biomaterial to reduce implant-related infections.

In vitro and in vivo evaluations on osteogenesis and biodegradability of a β-tricalcium phosphate coated magnesium alloy.
Hongwei Chai,Lei Guo,Xiantao Wang,Xiao-yu Gao,Kui Liu,Yuping Fu,Junlin Guan,Lili Tan,Ke Yang +8 more
TL;DR: In vivo and in vitro results confirmed that the β-TCP coating exhibited greatly improved osteoconductivity and osteogenesis in the early 12 weeks postoperation period, and in vivo experiment demonstrated that theβ- TCP coating layer could slow down the degradation of the naked Mg alloy at the early stage of implantation.

Upregulation of cell proliferation via Shc and ERK1/2 MAPK signaling in SaOS-2 osteoblasts grown on magnesium alloy surface coating with tricalcium phosphate
TL;DR: Results suggest that β-TCP coating may contribute to successful osteoblast function on Mg alloy surface, and may upregulate cell proliferation via Shc and ERK1/2 MAPK signaling in SaOS-2 osteoblasts grown on M g alloy surface.

circRNA expression pattern and ceRNA network in the pathogenesis of aseptic loosening after total hip arthroplasty.
Shenghui Ni,Tianlong Jiang,Shimin Hao,Peng Luo,Penghao Wang,Yaser Almatari,Yu Wang,Zhiyu Zhang,Lei Guo +8 more
TL;DR: A novel pathogenesis and treatment strategy about aseptic loosening after total hip arthroplasty was revealed from the study of circRNA-miRNA-mRNA network.
