TL;DR: In this paper, an attenuation coefficient is derived based on the characteristics of a decoded representation of a properly decoded audio frame preceding a lost audio frame, and the ratio between the energy at the decoded end portion of the properly decoding audio frames preceding the lost audio frames and the full energy in a scaled version of the decoding representation of the correctly decoding audio frame prior to the loss of the audio frame is calculated.
