Serotonin4 (5-HT4) Receptor Agonists Are Putative Antidepressants with a Rapid Onset of Action
Guillaume Lucas,Guillaume Lucas,Vladimir V. Rymar,Jenny Du,Ouissame Mnie-Filali,Christina F. Bisgaard,Stella Manta,Laura Lambás-Señas,Ove Wiborg,Nasser Haddjeri,Graciela Piñeyro,Abbas F. Sadikot,Guy Debonnel +12 more
TL;DR: It is shown that serotonin(4) (5-HT(4)) agonists reduce immobility in the forced swimming test, displaying an antidepressant potential and pointing out 5-HT (4) receptor agonists as a putative class of antidepressants with a rapid onset of action.

Evidence that the neuronal nitric oxide synthase inhibitor 7-nitroindazole inhibits monoamine oxidase in the rat: in vivo effects on extracellular striatal dopamine and 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid.
Christophe Desvignes,Lionel Bert,Laurent Vinet,Luc Denoroy,Bernard Renaud,Laura Lambás-Señas +5 more
TL;DR: A possible MAO inhibitory effect of 7-NI which seems to be restricted to this NOS inhibitor is suggested, which may be of special interest for the studies on the functional role of NO in the brain, particularly in dopaminergic transmission.

5-HT7 receptor antagonists as a new class of antidepressants.
TL;DR: This review summarizes recent data that put emphasis on the putative antidepressant properties of selective 5-HT(7) receptor antagonists and the use of such ligands seems very promising to elaborate novel generations of antidepressants that surpass the efficacy and onset of action limitations of existing antidepressants.

Functional correlates for 5-HT1A receptors in maternally deprived rats displaying anxiety and depression-like behaviors
Laura Lambás-Señas,Ouissame Mnie-Filali,Ouissame Mnie-Filali,Véronique Certin,Véronique Certin,Céline Faure,Céline Faure,Laetitia Lemoine,Laetitia Lemoine,Luc Zimmer,Nasser Haddjeri,Nasser Haddjeri +11 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that 5-HT(1A) receptors are not substantially affected in adult Sprague-Dawley rats that were subjected to a maternal deprivation 3 h daily during the neonatal period.

Microdialysis monitoring of catecholamines and excitatory amino acids in the rat and mouse brain: recent developments based on capillary electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence detection--a mini-review.
Sandrine Parrot,Lionel Bert,Laurence Mouly-Badina,Valérie Sauvinet,Joyce Colussi-Mas,Laura Lambás-Señas,Frédéric Robert,Jean-Pierre Bouilloux,Marie-Françoise Suaud-Chagny,Luc Denoroy,Bernard Renaud +10 more
TL;DR: The power of combining microdialyis and CE-LIFD is shown, using examples of physiological and pharmacological studies dealing with the dynamics of in vivo efflux processes and/or interactions between neurotransmitters.
