Load and health monitoring in glass fibre reinforced composites with an electrically conductive nanocomposite epoxy matrix
TL;DR: In this paper, an epoxy resin was modified with two different types of carbon nanotubes and with carbon black, in order to achieve an electrical conductivity, which was used for both, damage and load detection of fiber reinforced composites.

Improvement of fatigue life by incorporation of nanoparticles in glass fibre reinforced epoxy
TL;DR: In this article, the fatigue properties of glass fibre reinforced epoxy laminates modified with small amounts (0.3 ¼ ) of nanoparticles (fumed silica SiO 2 and multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT)) were evaluated by means of static and dynamic fatigue tests.

Direction sensitive bending sensors based on multi-wall carbon nanotube/epoxy nanocomposites.
TL;DR: In the present work, a direction sensitive bending strain sensor consisting of a single block of epoxy/multi-wall carbon nanotube composite was developed and could be realized in a straightforward single-step processing route.
