Carbon-Based Nanomaterials for Sustainable Agriculture: Their Application as Light Converters, Nanosensors, and Delivery Tools
Lan Zhu,Lingling Chen,Jiangjiang Gu,Huixin Ma,Honghong Wu +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a review of carbon-based nanomaterials and their applications in light converters, nanosensors, and delivery tools in agriculture is presented, and possible knowledge gaps are discussed.
Plant Salinity Stress Response and Nano-Enabled Plant Salt Tolerance
Zengqiang Li,Lan Zhu,F. Zhao,Jiaqi Li,Xin Zhang,Xiangjun Kong,Honghong Wu,Zhiyong Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the role of phytohormones and the molecular mechanisms in nano-enabled plant salt tolerance were discussed, including maintaining ROS homeostasis, improving plant ability to exclude Na+ and to retain K+, improving the production of nitric oxide, increasing α-amylase activities to increase soluble sugar content, and decreasing lipoxygenase activities.
CeO2 nanoparticles improved cucumber salt tolerance is associated with its induced early stimulation on antioxidant system.
Linlin Chen,Yuquan Peng,Lan Zhu,Yun Huang,Zhilong Bie,Honghong Wu +5 more
TL;DR: In this article , the role of nanoparticles induced possible early stimulation on antioxidant system in its improved plant salt tolerance is still largely unknown, however, it is shown that foliar spray of nanoceria is more optimal than root application in terms of improving cucumber salt tolerance, and this improvement is associated with better stimulation on antioxidants system in plants.

Cell Wall Pectin Content Refers to Favored Delivery of Negatively Charged Carbon Dots in Leaf Cells.
Lan Zhu,Wenying Xu,Xue Yao,Linlin Chen,Guangjing Li,Jiangjiang Gu,Lu Chen,Zhaohu Li,Honghong Wu +8 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that compared with cellulose and hemicellulose in the cell wall, the pectin is a more important factor referring to the favored uptake of negatively charged carbon dots in leaf cells.
