Wendt,Lynn Wood,L. Yao +48 more
TL;DR: The fission Time Projection Chamber (fissionTPC) as mentioned in this paper is a two-chamber MICROMEGAS TPC designed to make precision cross-section measurements of neutron-induced fission.
Applying a Template of Expected Uncertainties to Updating 239Pu(n,f) Cross-section Covariances in the Neutron Data Standards Database
Denise Neudecker,D.L. Smith,Fredrik Tovesson,Roberto Capote,Morgan C. White,Nathaniel Bowden,L. Snyder,Allan D. Carlson,Robert Casperson,V.G. Pronyaev,Samuele Sangiorgio,Kyle Schmitt,B. Seilhan,N. Walsh,Walid Younes +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors extend a template that is applicable to uncertainties expected in neutron-induced fission, (n,f), cross-section measurements to estimate covariances for experimental data employed in their evaluations, which can be used by evaluators in situations where they are not supplied by the experimenters.

Tate,R. S. Towell,N. Walsh,S. Watson,L. Yao,Walid Younes,H. Leeb +35 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a three-dimensional tracking detector is employed to study fragment emission angles and provide a direct measurement of angular anisotropy, which can provide an important constraint on fission theory, improving predictive fission codes and are a prerequisite for a precise ratio cross section measurement.

Walsh,T.S. Watson,L. Yao,Walid Younes +48 more
TL;DR: In this article, the angular anisotropy of fission fragments was measured with a fission time projection chamber (fissionTPC) to study the fission process.

Performance of a MICROMEGAS-based TPC in a high-energy neutron beam
L. Snyder,Brett Manning,Nathaniel Bowden,J. Bundgaard,Robert Casperson,D. Cebra,T. Classen,D. L. Duke,Joshua Gearhart,Uwe Greife,C. Hagmann,Michael Heffner,D. Hensle,D. Higgins,D. Isenhower,Jonathan B. King,Jennifer Lynn Klay,V. Geppert-Kleinrath,Walter Loveland,Joshua A. Magee,Michael P. Mendenhall,Samuele Sangiorgio,B. Seilhan,Kyle Schmitt,Fredrik Tovesson,R. S. Towell,Nicholas Walsh,S. Watson,L. Yao,Walid Younes +29 more
TL;DR: In this article, the behavior of a MICROMEGAS TPC when operated in a high-energy (up to 800 MeV ) neutron beam was investigated and it was found that neutron-induced reactions can cause discharges in some drift gas mixtures that are stable in the absence of the neutron beam.
