FK506 (Tacrolimus) monotherapy for prevention of graft-versus-host disease after histocompatible sibling allogeneic bone marrow transplantation
Joseph W. Fay,John R. Wingard,Joseph H. Antin,Robert H. Collins,L. Pineiro,Bruce R. Blazar,Rein Saral,Barbara E. Bierer,Donna Przepiorka,William E. Fitzsimmons,Rochelle M. Maher,Daniel J. Weisdorf +11 more
TL;DR: Data indicate that FK506 monotherapy has activity in preventing GVHD following HLA-identical sibling marrow transplantation and in combination with other immunosuppressants to augment efficacy are warranted.

Total parenteral nutrition vs oral diet in autologous hematopoietic cell transplant recipients.
TL;DR: TPN should be reserved for autologous HCT patients with pretransplant nutritional depletion, complications post transplant, or prolonged poor oral intake, and trends were seen for increased infections, more stable handgrip strength, and improved QOL in the TPN group vs the OD group.

Treatment of T prolymphocytic leukemia with allogeneic bone marrow transplantation
TL;DR: A 47-year-old male with refractory T-PLL who was treated with high-dose chemoradiotherapy and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation from an HLA-matched sibling achieves complete remission and remains in remission 3 years after the transplant.

High-dose etoposide, cyclophosphamide and total body irradiation with allogeneic bone marrow transplantation for resistant acute myeloid leukemia: A study by the North American Marrow Transplant Group
R Brown,S. N. Wolff,Joseph W. Fay,L. Pineiro,Robert H. Collins,Joseph P. Lynch,Don A. Stevens,John Greer,Roger H. Herzig,Geoffrey P. Herzig +9 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that high-dose etoposide with cyclophosphamide and TBI followed by allogeneic BMT is effective therapy for resistant AML, producing durable remission in approximately one-third of those treated.

Sequential administration of recombinant human interleukin-3 and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor after autologous bone marrow transplantation for malignant lymphoma: a phase I/II multicenter study
Joseph W. Fay,Hillard M. Lazarus,Roger H. Herzig,Ruben A. Saez,Don A. Stevens,Robert H. Collins,L. Pineiro,Brenda W. Cooper,Joseph DiCesare,Marilyn Campion,James M. Felser,Geoffrey P. Herzig,Steven H. Bernstein +12 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that the sequential administration of rhIL-3 and rhGM-CSF after ABMT is safe and generally well-tolerated and results in rapid recovery of multilineage hematopoiesis.
