TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a wide optical and radio database of the BL Lac object 0716+714, which consists of 4854 data points collected in the UBVRI bands since 1994, while radio light curves extend back to 1978.
Helical jets in blazars - Interpretation of the multifrequency long-term variability of AO 0235+16
TL;DR: In this article, the helical-jet model is applied to explain the quasi-periodic radio-optical light curves and the broad-band spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of the BL Lac object AO 0235+16.

TL;DR: The long-term trend shown by the optical light curves seems to vary with a characteristic time scale of about 3.3 years, while a longer period of 5.5-6 years seems to characterize the radio longterm variations as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: The BL Lac object 3C 66A was the target of an extensive multi-wavelength monitoring campaign from 2003 July through 2004 April (with a core campaign occurring from 2003 September to 2003 December) involving observations throughout the electromagnetic spectrum.
Optical and IR monitoring of the BL Lac object S5 0716+714 from 2001–2004

TL;DR: In this article, the spectral energy distribution of the slowly varying component remained constant over the entire wavelength interval and over the three-year observation period, providing evidence that this component has a synchrotron nature.
