Cluster observations of the entry layer equatorward of the cusp under northward interplanetary magnetic field
Quanqi Shi,Quanqi Shi,Qiugang Zong,Hui Zhang,Z. Y. Pu,S. Y. Fu,Lun Xie,Y. F. Wang,Yao Chen,L. Li,Lidong Xia,Z. X. Liu,Andrew Fazakerley,Henri Rème,Henri Rème,E. A. Lucek +15 more
TL;DR: In contrast to the southward IMF cases, in which a turbulent and diffusive entry layer is present equatorward of the cusp, a transition layer that shows clear differences in plasma parameters (sometimes step-like profile) compared to the adjacent regions was observed as discussed by the authors.

Statistical research on the motion properties of the magnetotail current sheet: Cluster observations
Weijie Sun,Weijie Sun,Quanqi Shi,Quanqi Shi,Suiyan Fu,Qiugang Zong,Zuyin Pu,Lun Xie,Ting Xiao,L. Li,Zhenxing Liu,Henri Rème,Henri Rème,E. Lucek +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors calculate the velocities of the magnetotail current sheet using new methods and obtain the distribution of the current sheet velocity in the X-Y plane in GSE coordinate system.

Spatial structures of magnetic depression in the Earth's high-altitude cusp: Cluster multipoint observations
Quanqi Shi,Quanqi Shi,Zuyin Pu,Jan Soucek,Q.-G. Zong,S. Y. Fu,Lun Xie,Yao Chen,Hui Zhang,L. Li,Lidong Xia,Z. X. Liu,E. A. Lucek,Andrew Fazakerley,Henri Rème,Henri Rème +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic depression structures (magnetic holes) of short time duration from seconds to minutes have been studied using Cluster data in the high-latitude cusp and it was shown that multiple properties of the magnetic depressions are consistent with those of mirror structures observed in the magnetosheath or solar wind.
Cluster-C1 observations on the geometrical structure of linear magnetic holes in the solar wind at 1 AU
T. Xiao,T. Xiao,Quanqi Shi,Quanqi Shi,T. L. Zhang,S. Y. Fu,L. Li,Q.-G. Zong,Zuyin Pu,Lun Xie,Weijie Sun,Z. X. Liu,E. A. Lucek,Henri Rème,Henri Rème +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the relationship between the durations and the magnetic field orientations of interplanetary linear magnetic holes (LMHs) in the solar wind and found that the geometrical structure of the LMHs at 1 AU is consistent with rotational ellipsoid and the ratio of scales along and across the magnetic fields is about 1.93:1.
