Freezing of the polarization fluctuations in lead magnesium niobate relaxors
TL;DR: In this article, the dielectric relaxation of a solid solution of lead titanate in lead magnesium niobate is found to be similar to the magnetic relaxation in spin-glass systems.

Relaxorferroelectrics: An overview
TL;DR: In this article, the authors trace the evolution of understanding related to the modification of sharp ferroelectric phase transition behavior that occurs in composition systems which exhibit diffuse and relaxor Ferroelectric properties.

Domains in Ferroic Crystals and Thin Films
Alexander K. Tagantsev,L. Eric Cross,Jan Fousek +2 more
- 01 Jan 2010
TL;DR: A Preview of Ferroic Domain Structures and Phenomena can be found in this article, along with a discussion of the fundamental principles and properties of these structures and their properties.
Deviation from Curie-Weiss behavior in relaxor ferroelectrics.
TL;DR: It is proposed that this deviation arises due to short-range correlations between polar regions, and that these correlations at high temperatures are the precursor to a freezing of the polarization fluctuations into a glassy state.

Flexoelectricity of barium titanate
Wenhui Ma,L. Eric Cross +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the flexoelectric coefficient of barium titanate was measured dynamically at small level of strain gradients, and the coupling effect between mechanical strain gradient and electric polarization was found to be nonlinearly enhanced by high dielectric permittivity and domain contribution.
