Observations on the effect of a soil polysaccharide fraction on boron adsorption by clay minerals
Baohua Gu,L. E. Lowe +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, stable polysaccharide-clay complexes were found to reduce boron adsorption by the clay minerals at approximately neutral pH, which suggests that borons retention in soils is influenced by the occurrence of stable compound-clays complexes.

Studies on the adsorption of boron on humic acids.
Baohua Gu,L. E. Lowe +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption of boric acid in soil was studied on three precipitated humic acids (HA) representing three distinct soil types, and it was found that the adsoreption maxima (b values) as calculated with the Langmuir equation, ranged from 73 to 207 ǫmmol kg−1 HA at a pH near 8.8, and from 10 to 42 mmol 1 kg−
