Ultrasound-guided fine-needle capillary biopsy of thyroid nodules, coupled with on-site cytologic review, improves results.
Graziano Ceresini,Luigi Corcione,S. Morganti,Bruna Milli,L. Bertone,R. Prampolini,S. Petrazzoli,M. Saccani,Gian Paolo Ceda,Giorgio Valenti +9 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that the combination of US guidance, capillary collection with no-aspiration technique, and on-site review of slides, characterizes an advantageous method for thyroid nodule fine-needle biopsy.

A one-year follow-up on the effects of raloxifene on thyroid function in postmenopausal women.
Graziano Ceresini,S. Morganti,I. Rebecchi,L. Bertone,Gian Paolo Ceda,Alberto Bacchi-Modena,Mariapaola Sgarabotto,Monica Baldini,F. Ablondi,Giorgio Valenti,Lewis E. Braverman +10 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that RAL significantly increased serum TBG levels, but the changes were small and not accompanied by changes in FT4-I, FT4, or TSH concentrations, suggesting that long-term RAL treatment is unlikely to clinically affect the thyroid status in euthyroid, postmenopausal women.

Effects of raloxifene on carotid blood flow resistance and endothelium-dependent vasodilation in postmenopausal women.
Graziano Ceresini,Lorenzo Marchini,I. Rebecchi,S. Morganti,L. Bertone,Ilaria Montanari,Alberto Bacchi-Modena,Maria Paola Sgarabotto,Monica Baldini,Licia Denti,F. Ablondi,Gian Paolo Ceda,Giorgio Valenti +12 more
TL;DR: These results demonstrate no significant effects of raloxifene on either carotid blood flow resistance or brachial artery flow-mediated dilation in postmenopausal women.
