Titanium dioxide nanoparticles: Recent progress in antimicrobial applications.
TL;DR: There is extensive evidence to show that TiO2 NPs can exhibit certain antimicrobial features with disputable roles of UV light, and they are effective in treating bacterial infections, although the majority of these conclusions came from in vitro studies and in the presence of some additional nanomaterials.

Synergistic Effect of Chitosan and Selenium Nanoparticles on Biodegradation and Antibacterial Properties of Collagenous Scaffolds Designed for Infected Burn Wounds.
Jana Dorazilová,Johana Muchová,Kristýna Šmerková,Kristýna Šmerková,Silvia Kociova,Silvia Kociova,Pavel Diviš,Pavel Kopel,Pavel Kopel,Radek Veselý,Veronika Pavliňáková,Vojtěch Adam,Vojtěch Adam,Lucy Vojtová +13 more
TL;DR: Modified polymeric scaffolds showed considerable inhibition activity towards Gram-positive bacterial strains such as Staphylococcus aureus and methicillin-resistant StAPHylococus aUREus and StaphYLococcus epidermidis in a dose-dependent manner.

TL;DR: In this article, in vitro and ex-vo biocompatibility of naturally based crosslinked freeze-dried 3D porous collagen/chitosan scaffolds, modified with thermostable fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2-STAB®), to enhance healing and selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) to provide antibacterial activity, were evaluated.
