A system that monitors various conditions of a plurality of hospital beds located in different rooms of a healthcare facility is provided. Alternatively or additionally, other types of equipment may be monitored by the system. Various configurations of network interface units that are coupleable to or integrated into a hospital bed are also disclosed. The system receives data from the hospital beds and/or other equipment and initiates a communication to a wireless communication device of at least one designated caregiver in response to the received data being indicative of an alarm condition.

A hospital bed has wireless communication circuitry operable to transmit wirelessly bed status data. A surface supported by the bed has wireless communication circuitry operable to transmit wirelessly surface status data. The wireless communication circuitry of the hospital bed and the wireless communication circuitry of the surface communicate with a network independently. A hospital bed with an integrated surface has wireless communication circuitry operable to transmit wirelessly bed status data and surface status data. The wireless bed status data and the wireless surface status data are received by wireless access points of a network of a healthcare facility.

A robust customer service environment employing 'Key Performance Indicators' (KPIs), which represent both customer interaction experiences and also the overall efficacy of agent performance on an interaction-by-interaction basis. A KPI can be any metric for measuring a category of information related to a call center interaction, e.g., customer satisfaction or agent ability/performance. Input from customer experiences, whether originating from the customer, agent, or agent supervisor, is catalogued and linked to one or more KPIs. Key performance indicators are associated with a key performance indicator template, which is linked with a project comprising routing rules, triggers, and specific actions that are driven as a result of the key performance indicator template. The project may be a phone/IVR project, Web CallBack project, email project, or a Chat project. Execution of the key performance indicator template triggers pre-, during, and/or post-call, -chat, -CallBack, or -email input from a call center user.

Managing information flow and workflow in medical imaging services includes mapping activities in medical imaging services to a set of discrete steps in a model medical imaging process. Data concerning the medical imaging services is collected and tracked using an electronic data store and a communications network. Collected data is correlated to at least one of the discrete steps in the model medical imaging process and process metrics for performance are calculated based upon the correlated data.

Management of information flow and workflow in medical imaging services

The present invention facilitates the creation and implementation of Workflow Templates and also the designation of linkage between these templates and specific projects dealing with different media type handling. Workflow Templates are used to automatically generate user interface views which will be used by agents, knowledge workers, supervisors and customers. Such Workflow Templates provide the means to create, define and store the name and definition of and 'trigger points' for each workflow item. The trigger points for when a document is used are also determined when creating the template. Further, in creating a Workflow Templates the administrator can instruct the system to save scripts associated with the template that can be saved as XML, EDI, JSP, CGI, VXML, etc. so as to be able to automatically generate documents or logic flows consistent with the target media type for the anticipated interactions with customers.

Universal workflow-based routing

A computer-implemented method and apparatus is provided for workflow configuration and execution in medical imaging. One method embodiment comprises the steps of creating and storing a workflow template (the workflow template comprising a standard form for entering data and activities), filling out the workflow template with data and a sequence of activities, and executing the sequence of activities according to the workflow template

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for configuration and execution of a workflow in medial imaging, which eliminates a defect in a conventional art. SOLUTION: This method includes a step of setting the capture of an image as a part of workflow processing including a series of determined activities. Each of the activities has input and output connectors, and each of the input and output connectors is associated with one data type. In this case, a link between the input and output connecters of the activities different from each other is formed only when the data types of the activities have compatibility, and workflow processing is stored in the memory of a computer. Additionally, image processing is configured as a part of the workflow processing, and executed by performing the workflow processing; the change of the activity is detected in real time; and only the activity following the one changed activity is reperformed.
