Formation of faujasite-type zeolite from ground Shirasu volcanic glass
Akira Yoshida,Kouzou Inoue +1 more
TL;DR: Faujasite-type zeolite was formed from the ground volcanic glass, ‘Shirasu’, deposited abundantly in southern Kyushu, Japan as discussed by the authors, which was affected by aging at ordinary temperatures, the particle size of volcanic glass and reaction time.

Hydrothermal stability of US-Ex
TL;DR: In this article, USY samples were prepared from sodium Y whose Si/Al atomic ratios were in the range of 2.5 to 3.0, and were treated hydrothermally under deep-bed conditions and with steam.

Whiteness in zeolite A prepared from Shirasu volcanic glass
Akira Yoshida,Kouzou Inoue +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, fine white crystals of zeolite A were formed from iron-containing water glass and Na 2 SiO 3 ·9 H 2 O extracted from Shirasu volcanic glass.

Effect of nonframework alumina on the hydrothermal stability of USY
TL;DR: In this paper, the spectral intensity of tetrahedrally coordinated non-framework aluminum in ultrastabilized Y (USY) was analyzed quantitatively, showing that the formation of silica-containing amorphous nonframework aluminum species seems to decrease the hydrothermal stability of USY.

Preparation conditions and particle size of products of A-type zeolite.
Kouzou Inoue,Akira Yoshida +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of preparation conditions on the particle size of A type zeolite was examined and it was shown that the size became smaller with the increase of the alkalinity of the mother liquor from 1 M to 2.6 M. The effect of seed addition was observed only by using seed crystals of smaller particle size than 1 μm.
