Ionic Liquids Based on the 7-Azabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane Skeleton: Synthesis and Properties
TL;DR: In this article, a series of new ionic liquids based on the 7-azabicyclo[2.2]heptane skeleton, have been synthesized based on a previously developed method for the synthesis of epibatidine analogues, and they were found to exhibit very good electrochemical and thermal stabilities.

Removal of copper and iron from ethanolic solutions by an anion exchange resin and its implication to rare-earth magnet recycling.
TL;DR: In this article , strong cation and anion exchange resins were tested batchwise for the recovery of the non-rare earth constituents of permanent magnets (copper, cobalt, manganese, nickel and iron) from synthetic aqueous and ethanolic solutions.

Can 3D printing solve the numbering-up challenge of microfluidic reactors?
Joren van Stee,Filip Keppens,J. John,Koen Binnemans,Tom Van Gerven +4 more
TL;DR: Researchers develop a 3D printed manifold for microfluidic reactors, reducing maldistribution by at least a factor of 2, using commercially available parts, and demonstrate its effectiveness in single- and two-phase flow with various liquids.

Lanthanide Liquid Crystalline Complexes with Perfluoroalkylsulfate Anion
Farida K. Gainullina,Farida K. Gainullina,Larisa Malykhina,L. M. Tinchurina,G. I. Ivanova,Koen Binnemans,Yury G. Galyametdinov,Yury G. Galyametdinov +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Lanthanide complexes L"3Ln(ROSO3)3 are synthesized with Ln(III) = Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb; L" = 4-tetradecyloxy-N-octadecyl-2-hydroxybenzaldimine and perfluoro-substituted alkylsulfate anion as counterion (where R = CF3(CF2)8CH2).
