Lanthanide–surfactant-combined catalysts for the allylation of benzaldehyde with tetraallyltin in aqueous solutions
TL;DR: In this paper, a series of metal-surfactant-combined catalysts having the general formula M(DOS) x (DOS=dodecylsulfate), x ǫ = 1-3, can be used for the efficient allylation of benzaldehyde with tetraallyltin in water.

Near-infrared photoluminescence of lanthanide complexes containing the hemicyanine chromophore
Rik Van Deun,Peter Nockemann,Tatjana N. Parac-Vogt,Kristof Van Hecke,Luc Van Meervelt,Christiane Görller-Walrand,Koen Binnemans +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the near-infrared luminescence properties of three (E)-N-hexadecyl-N 0,N 0 -dimethylamino-stilbazolium tetrakis(1-phenyl-3-methyl-4benzoyl-5-pyrazolonato) lanthanide(III) complexes are described.

Lanthanide complexes of Schiff base ligands containing three aromatic rings: synthesis and thermal behaviour
TL;DR: The synthesis and thermal behavior of liquid-crystalline lanthanide complexes with Schiff base ligands are described in this article, where the authors show that the rare-earth complexes with the Schiff base 4-3-Hydroxy-4- octadecylimino methyl phenoxy carbonyl phenyl 4-hexyloxy benzoate can be synthesized.

Absolute configuration assignment of D3-symmetric lanthanide complexes based on circular dichroism induced by interaction with a chiral probe.
TL;DR: Addition of the chiral probe L-proline (L-Pro) to a series of the racemic complexes resulted in an excess of the Λ-enantiomer.
