Liquid Nickel Salts: Synthesis, Crystal Structure Determination, and Electrochemical Synthesis of Nickel Nanoparticles.
Jeroen Sniekers,Ken Verguts,Neil R. Brooks,Stijn Schaltin,Thanh Hai Phan,Thi Mien Trung Huynh,Luc Van Meervelt,Steven De Feyter,Jin Won Seo,Jan Fransaer,Koen Binnemans +10 more
TL;DR: New nickel-containing ionic liquids were synthesized, characterized and their electrochemistry was investigated, and a mechanism for the electrochemical synthesis of nanoparticles from these compounds is proposed.

Mesomorphism of lanthanide-containing Schiff's base complexes with chloride counterions
TL;DR: In this paper, a trivalent lanthanide ion (Pr-Lu, except Pm) was synthesized and the mesophase behavior of these compounds has been investigated by polarizing optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and high temperature X-ray diffraction.

Solvation structure of poly-m-phenyleneisophthalamide (PMIA) in ionic liquids.
TL;DR: It was found that, similarly to cellulose, PMIA could be dissolved readily and in large amounts in ionic liquids containing a strongly coordinating anion (such as chloride, acetate and dialkylphosphate) and an imidazolium cation.

CR3: Cornerstone to the sustainable inorganic materials management (SIM2) research program at K.U.Leuven
Peter Tom Jones,T. Van Gerven,K. Van Acker,Daneel Geysen,Koen Binnemans,Jan Fransaer,Bart Blanpain,Barada Kanta Mishra,Diran Apelian +8 more
TL;DR: The Center for Resource Recovery & Recycling (CR3) as mentioned in this paper is a research center established by Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Colorado School of Mines, and K.U. Leuven.

Selective alkaline stripping of metal ions after solvent extraction by base-stable 1,2,3-triazolium ionic liquids.
Stijn Raiguel,Daphne Depuydt,Tom Vander Hoogerstraete,Joice Thomas,Wim Dehaen,Koen Binnemans +5 more
TL;DR: Selective alkaline stripping of metal ions after solvent extraction by base-stable 1,2,3-triazolium ionic liquids selectively strips metal ions from loaded ionic liquid phase by alkaline solutions.
