Liquid-crystalline azines formed by the rare-earth promoted decomposition of hydrazide "habbe'' ligands: structural and thermal properties (vol 13, pg 1639, 2003)
Rik Van Deun,Tatjana N. Parac-Vogt,Kristof Van Hecke,Luc Van Meervelt,Koen Binnemans,Daniel Guillon,Bertrand Donnio +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a synthetic pathway is proposed, in which the rare-earth ion promotes the decomposition of the habbe ligand into a symmetrical azine, which shows mesomorphism.

Metal coordination in the high-temperature leaching of roasted NdFeB magnets with the ionic liquid betainium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide
TL;DR: In this article, the role of water on the mass transfer and on the coordination of rare earths was studied by viscometry and by spectroscopic methods, and it was shown that the presence of water is mandatory to saturate the first coordination sphere of the dissolved rare-earth ions.

Highly Selective Separation of Carbon Dioxide from Nitrogen and Methane by Nitrile/Glycol-Difunctionalized Ionic Liquids in Supported Ionic Liquid Membranes (SILMs) B
SandraD. Hojniak,Ian P. Silverwood,Asim Laeeq Khan,Ivo F.J. Vankelecom,Wim Dehaen,Sergei G. Kazarian,Koen Binnemans +6 more
TL;DR: Novel difunctionalized ionic liquids containing a triethylene glycol monomethyl ether chain and a nitrile group on a pyrrolidinium or imidazolium cation exhibit higher gas separation selectivities than analogous ILs functionalized only with a glycol chain.

Electrochemical dicarboxylation of conjugated fatty acids as an efficient valorization of carbon dioxide
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of molecular configuration and alkyl substitution on the reactivity of conjugated double bonds towards carboxylation was studied, using an optimized electrosynthetic method.

Study of thermodynamic and kinetic stability of transition metal and lanthanide complexes of DTPA analogues with a phosphorus acid pendant arm
TL;DR: In this article, the thermodynamic and kinetic stabilities of the complexes of phosphonate and phenylphosphinate analogues of H5dtpa with selected transition-and lanthanide-metal ions are presented.
