Hypoxia-inducible C-to-U coding RNA editing downregulates SDHB in monocytes.
Bora E. Baysal,Kitty De Jong,Biao Liu,Jianmin Wang,Santosh K. Patnaik,Paul K. Wallace,Robert T Taggart +6 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that C-to-U coding RNA editing of certain genes is dynamically induced by physiologically relevant environmental factors and suggested that epigenetic downregulation of SDHB by site-specific RNA editing plays a role in hypoxia adaptation in monocytes.

Inhibition of LSD1 in MDS progenitors restores differentiation of CD141 Hi conventional dendritic cells.
Pragya Srivastava,Stephanie L. Tzetzo,Eduardo Cortes Gomez,Kevin H. Eng,Sheila N.J. Sait,Joseph Kuechle,Prashant Singh,Kitty De Jong,Kyle Wiatrowski,Jennifer Peresie,Ava R. Dimitroff,Miranda L. Lynch,Jianmin Wang,Scott I. Abrams,Elizabeth A. Griffiths,Michael J. Nemeth +15 more
TL;DR: It is found that CD141 Hi cDCs are reduced in MDS bone marrow and based on the premise established in solid tumors, it is hypothesized that reduced numbers of CD141Hi c DCs are associated with inferior overall survival in M DS patients and data reveal a previously unrecognized element of the MDS immunologic milieu.
