On the Insertion of ML2 (M = Ni, Pd, Pt; L = PH3) into the E–Bi Bond (E = C, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb) of a Bicyclo[1.1.1]Pentane Motif: A Case for a Carbenoid-Stabilized Bi(0) Species?
TL;DR: In this paper, the structure, stability, bonding, and reactivity of the model heteroelemental (H2E)3Bi2 complexes and their ML2 (L = PH3)-functionalized derivatives along E = C, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb and M = Ni, Pd, Pt families.

Element-Selective Molecular Charge Transport Characteristics of Binuclear Copper(II)-Lanthanide(III) Complexes
Sebastian Schmitz,Andrew Kovalchuk,Alejandro Martín-Rodríguez,Jan van Leusen,Natalya V. Izarova,Svenja D. M. Bourone,Yong Ai,Eliseo Ruiz,Ryan C. Chiechi,Paul Kögerler,Paul Kögerler,Kirill Yu. Monakhov +11 more
TL;DR: Theoretical calculations of transmission spectra of individual complexes 1 and 4 embedded between two metallic electrodes show that the molecular current-voltage characteristics are strongly influenced by electron transport through the Cu centers and thus fully independent of the lanthanide ion, in excellent agreement with the experimental I- V data for 1-4.
Insertion of VIV Ions into the Polyoxotungstate Archetype {As4W40}.
Maria Stuckart,Natalya V. Izarova,Natalya V. Izarova,Maria Glöß,Jennifer Klose,Carolin Schmitz-Antoniak,Paul Kögerler,Paul Kögerler,Berthold Kersting,Kirill Yu. Monakhov +9 more
TL;DR: A new polyoxometalate compound consisting of the 39tungsto-4-arsenate(III) unit with four incorporated VIV ions, isolated as NH4-As4W39(V4) was synthesized and fully characterized in this paper.

Increasing the redox switching capacity of Lindqvist-type hexavanadates by organogold post-functionalisation.
TL;DR: In this paper , the covalent attachment of organogold(I) moieties to the Lindqvist-type polyoxovanadate results in a measurable charge re-distribution across the formed Au-V6}-Au linkages.
