TL;DR: Long-term dietary exposure to selenium in young children living in 12 different European countries was assessed and showed differences in exposure between countries based on food consumption patterns and decreased exposure with increased age.

TL;DR: Although the results showed differences in exposure between countries, it is clear from this exercise that food consumption data in different countries can be categorised in a standard way to allow for harmonised exposure modelling.

TL;DR: Food groups "milk/dairy drinks" and "cereals" contributed most to the exposure in almost all countries, and it was shown that, food consumption data collected in different European countries can be categorised in a standard way to allow for harmonised exposure modelling.
