TL;DR: A 14% incidence of hyperfunctioning nodules in patients without a definitive FNAB warrants the use of scintigraphy but only when serum TSH levels are low, thus avoiding unnecessary scans in 91% of patients with a thyroid nodule.
Dynamics of prolactin secretion in patients with hypopituitarism and pituitary macroadenomas
TL;DR: The mild increase in serum PRL levels in hypopituitary patients and the discordant responses to stimulation with TRH and PZ suggest dopamine deficiency as a cause of hyperprolactinemia.
Hydrocortisone-colestipol interaction.
Kenneth E. Nekl,David C. Aron +1 more
TL;DR: Perforation and inflammation of diverticula of the colon secondary to long-term adrenocorticosteroid therapy for bronchial asthma and pulmonary emphysema and the gastrointestinal tract in patients receiving steroids for neurological diseases is studied.
