Postthrombolysis outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients of Asian race-ethnicity.
Nishant K. Mishra,Nishant K. Mishra,Bernard P.L. Chan,Hock-Luen Teoh,Chang-Hui Meng,Kennedy R. Lees,Christopher Chen,Vivek Sharma +7 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that Asian patients derive benefit from thrombolytic therapy, as indicated by odds ratio and 95% confidence interval for improved outcomes on day 90.

Halving effort in acute stroke trials.
Kennedy R. Lees,Paolo Milia +1 more
TL;DR: The interaction between two or more selection criteria can be considered and can allow trials to concentrate on the most informative patients, and the choice of outcome scale and its method of analysis can have a profound effect on trial power and likely success.
3
Exploration of time-course combinations of outcome scales for use in a global test of stroke recovery.
TL;DR: In this paper, a measure incorporating both early and late measures of outcome (e.g., seven-day NIH Stroke Scale combined with 90-day modified Rankin scale) was explored to evaluate the sensitivity to treatment effect, using proportional odds logistic regression for ordinal scales and generalized estimating equation method for global outcomes.

Determinants of the blood pressure response to the first dose of ACE inhibitor in mild to moderate congestive heart failure
Lilian S. Murray,Iain B. Squire,John L. Reid,Kennedy R. Lees +3 more
- 01 Jun 1998
TL;DR: The first-dose blood pressure response to ACE inhibition cannot be accurately predicted from baseline pathophysiological variables in patients with mild to moderate CHF.
