Impact of microwave tissue coagulation during laparoscopic partial nephrectomy on postoperative renal function
Takahiro Yasui,Yasunori Itoh,Yoshiyuki Kojima,Yukihiro Umemoto,Keiichi Tozawa,Shoichi Sasaki,Yutaro Hayashi,Kenjiro Kohri +7 more
TL;DR: Laparoscopic nonischemic partial nephrectomy using a microwave tissue coagulator has the advantage of technical ease and adequate hemostasis, however, its indication should be restricted to small exophytic renal tumors due to the expected collateral damage causing renal impairment.

Shinsuke Okada,Hideki Watanabe,Yoshiyuki Kojima,Yoshimasa Yanai,Shoichi Sasaki,Kenjiro Kohri +5 more

Male fertility in space
Shoichi Sasaki,Takahito Ikeuchi,Hiroyuki Kamiya,Yoshiyuki Kojima,Yukihiro Umemoto,Kenjiro Kohri +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the process of fertilization in vitro is not sensitive to the gravitational vector, however, the possibility exists that microgravity increases the disturbance of spermatogenesis and sperm motility or the frequency of early embryonic lethality.

Induction of multinucleated cells and apoptosis in the PC‐3 prostate cancer cell line by low concentrations of polyethylene glycol 1000
Katsuhiro Fukuta,Kenjiro Kohri,Hirokazu Fukuda,Masatoshi Watanabe,Takashi Sugimura,Hitoshi Nakagama +5 more
TL;DR: PEG was here demonstrated to have anticell proliferation and antitumor effects via induction of apoptosis, possibly by cell fusion, and could therefore be adopted as an alternative chemotherapeutic strategy for localized prostate cancers, including those that become refractory to androgen‐deprivation therapy.
