TL;DR: The degree to which SP rates differ in the two groups is striking: the non-Caucasian ethnic Danish individuals were more than twice as likely to experience SP as compared to non-ethnic Danes, and members of Danish ethnic groups had more than two as many SP episodes in a lifetime.

TL;DR: The findings suggest that the increased excitability of the specific amygdaloid subdivisions including the central nucleus, and of the projection targets such as the hypothalamus and midbrain in fyn(-/-) mice, is directly related to the enhanced fear response, and that the decreased excitability in the basolateral and lateral amygdalus subdivisions is involved in the defective control of the neural circuit for emotional expression in this mutant.

TL;DR: It is suggested that orally active TrkB agonists, such as 7-8-dihydroxyflavone,5 could serve as potential preventive or therapeutic drugs for dementia by augmenting the recorded decreases in serum BDNF levels detected in healthy people who go on to develop dementia or AD.
