Phase III Trial: Adjuvant Pelvic Radiation Therapy Versus Vaginal Brachytherapy Plus Paclitaxel/Carboplatin in High-Intermediate and High-Risk Early-Stage Endometrial Cancer
Marcus E. Randall,Virginia L. Filiaci,D. Scott McMeekin,Vivian E. von Gruenigen,Helen J. Huang,Catheryn M. Yashar,Robert S. Mannel,Jae Weon Kim,Ritu Salani,Paul DiSilvestro,James J. Burke,Thomas J. Rutherford,Nick M. Spirtos,Keith Terada,Penny R. Anderson,Wendy R. Brewster,William Small,Carol Aghajanian,David Miller +18 more
TL;DR: Pelvic RT alone remains an effective, well-tolerated, and appropriate adjuvant treatment in high-risk early-stage endometrial carcinomas of all histologies.
Reproductive Factors and Epithelial Ovarian Cancer Risk by Histologic Type:A Multiethnic Case-Control Study
Ko-Hui Tung,Marc T. Goodman,Anna H. Wu,Katharine McDuffie,Lynne R. Wilkens,Laurence N. Kolonel,Abraham M. Y. Nomura,Keith Terada,Michael E. Carney,Leslie H. Sobin +9 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that histologic types of epithelial ovarian cancer are etiologically distinct, with endometrioid tumors being the most strongly related to pregnancy and tubal ligation, while clear cell tumors were the only type that was associated with noncontraceptive hormone use.

Association of Dairy Products, Lactose, and Calcium with the Risk of Ovarian Cancer
Marc T. Goodman,Anna H. Wu,Ko-Hui Tung,Katharine McDuffie,Laurence N. Kolonel,Abraham M. Y. Nomura,Keith Terada,Lynne R. Wilkens,Suzanne P. Murphy,Jean H. Hankin +9 more
TL;DR: Investigation of a case-control study in Hawaii and Los Angeles, California, suggests that intake of low-fat milk, calcium, or lactose may reduce the risk of ovarian cancer.
Vitamin D receptor gene polymorphisms and epithelial ovarian cancer risk.
Galina Lurie,Lynne R. Wilkens,Pamela J. Thompson,Katharine McDuffie,Michael E. Carney,Keith Terada,Marc T. Goodman +6 more
TL;DR: Some evidence that polymorphisms in the VDR gene might influence ovarian cancer susceptibility is provided, including among Caucasian women and Japanese women.

Polymorphisms of interleukin (IL)-1α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, and IL-18 and the risk of ovarian cancer
Abigail W. Bushley,Robert Ferrell,Katharine McDuffie,Keith Terada,Michael E. Carney,Pamela J. Thompson,Lynne R. Wilkens,Ko Hui Tung,Roberta B Ness,Marc T. Goodman +9 more
TL;DR: This study does not support an association of selected IL-1α ,IL-1β, IL-6 , IL-10 , or IL-18 polymorphisms with the risk for ovarian cancer, however, the IL- 18 G137C variant may be a marker for ovariancancer progression or metastasis.
