TL;DR: Atez/Bev showed comparable effectiveness to LEN in HCC patients aged 80 years and older, given the results of post-progression treatment and discontinuation due to adverse events, and could serve as a first-line treatment even for elderly H CC patients.

Functional analysis of transactivation by mutants of hepatitis B virus X gene in human hepatocellular carcinoma
Masami Minemura,Yukihiro Shimizu,Katsuharu Hirano,Yasuhiro Nakayama,Yoshiharu Tokimitsu,Kazuto Tajiri,Kazuki Yamada,Feng Xue,Terumi Takahara,Akiharu Watanabe,Toshiro Sugiyama +10 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that the transactivating function is not necessarily associated with the development of HCC, and that not only transactivation by the X gene but also the mutation-enhanced oncogenic potential of the gene products could contribute to hepatocarcinogenesis.

Screening of antigen-specific antibody-secreting cells
TL;DR: The new method for screening antigen-specific antibody-secreting cells at single-cell levels using microwell-array chips is described and can be applied to screen antigen- specific antibody-Secreting Cells from any animal species.

Association of PPI and antibiotics with the clinical outcomes of HCC patients receiving atezolizumab and bevacizumab: A multicenter analysis.
Takeshi Hatanaka,Satoru Kakizaki,Atsushi Hiraoka,Toshifumi Tada,Masashi Hirooka,Kazuya Kariyama,Joji Tani,Masanori Atsukawa,Koichi Takaguchi,Ei Itobayashi,Shinya Fukunishi,Kunihiko Tsuji,Toru Ishikawa,Kazuto Tajiri,Hironori Ochi,Satoshi Yasuda,Hidenori Toyoda,Chikara Ogawa,Takashi Nishimura,Noritomo Shimada,Kazuhito Kawakita,Hisashi Kosaka,Atsushi Naganuma,Yutaka Yata,Takaaki Tanaka,Hideko Ohama,Fujimasa Tada,Kazuhiro Nouso,Asahiro Morishita,Akemi Tsutsui,Takuya Nagano,Norio Itokawa,Tomomi Okubo,Taeang Arai,Michitaka Imai,Yohei Koizumi,Shinichiro Nakamura,Masaki Kaibori,Hiroko Iijima,Yoichi Hiasa,Takashi Kumada +40 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the impact of proton pump inhibitor treatment (PPI) and antibiotic treatment on the therapeutic outcomes of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients receiving atezolizumab and bevacizummab (Atez/Bev).

Direct-acting antivirals for hepatitis C virus-infected patients with hepatocellular carcinoma
Kazuto Tajiri,Hiroyuki Ito,Kengo Kawai,Yoshiro Kashii,Yuka Hayashi,Aiko Murayama,Masami Minemura,Terumi Takahara,Yukihiro Shimizu,Ichiro Yasuda +9 more
TL;DR: DAA therapy in patients infected with HCV is also effective in patients with a history of HCC, and curative treatment for HCC is desirable before DAA therapy.
