An Evaluating Method of Crack Opening Stress Distributions and Stress Intensity Factors based on Opening Displacements along a Crack
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the opening displacements along a crack under tensile loading, using the equation that was derived based on the complex-valued formulas on the stress and displacement of a two-dimensional crack.
5
Study of Fatigue Crack Propagation Behavior of Film Materials : Fatigue Testing Method and Factors Controlling Fatigue Crack Propagation Rates
TL;DR: In this paper, an analytical model for this testing method is presented using a boundary element method, so that the film fatigue fracture can be treated quantitatively in terms of fracture mechanics (K-values and Jintegrals).

Evaluating the significance of HLA class II genotype matching in living-related liver transplantation.
Eiji Yamamoto,Kazuo Honda,Koichi Tanaka,Masaaki Awane,Ryoji Takeda,Shu Fukushima,Shinji Uemoto,Takashi Inamoto,Kanji Ishizaki,Mitsuo Ikenaga,Yoshio Yamaoka +10 more
TL;DR: Investigation of subclinical immune responses other than rejection episodes showed that DRB1, DQB1 and DPB1 matching had a beneficial effect on graft function, while DQA1 matching seemed to have a varied effect.

Effect of interatomic potential on melting point and thermal expansion of a transition metal
TL;DR: In this article, the relation between the interatomic potentials and thermal properties was investigated by using molecular dynamics simulations, and the melting point was determined by starting NPT ensemble simulations with the initial configurations where the solid and liquid phases coexisted in a basic cell.
