Simulation of SOFC performance using a modified exchange current density for pre-reformed methane-based fuels
K. Takino,Yuya Tachikawa,Kouki Mori,Stephen Matthew Lyth,Yusuke Shiratori,Shunsuke Taniguchi,Kazunari Sasaki +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a modified anode exchange current density equation for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) is proposed to simulate the performance parameters of a three-dimensional electrolyte-supported SOFC.

Accelerated Durability Testing of Fuel Cell Stacks for Commercial Automotive Applications: A Case Study
Tsuyoshi Takahashi,Takuya Ikeda,Kazuya Murata,Osamu Hotaka,Shigeki Hasegawa,Yuya Tachikawa,Masamichi Nishihara,Junko Matsuda,Tatsumi Kitahara,Stephen Matthew Lyth,Akari Hayashi,Kazunari Sasaki +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , modified start-stop and load cycle durability tests are conducted on prototype fuel cell stacks intended for incorporation into commercial FCEVs, and the degradation mechanisms are elucidated by separating the overvoltages at both 0.2 and 2.2 A cm-2.

Transplantation of declined livers after normothermic perfusion.
Cristiano Quintini,Luca Del Prete,Andrea Simioni,L Del Angel,Teresa Diago Uso,Giuseppe D'Amico,Koji Hashimoto,Federico Aucejo,Masato Fujiki,Bijan Eghtesad,Kazunari Sasaki,Choon Hyuck David Kwon,Jacek B. Cywinski,A.C. Bennett,M. Bilancini,Charles C. Miller,Qiang Liu +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors report that 71.5% of discarded liver allografts were successfully transplanted after ex vivo normothermic machine perfusion and assessment using an institutionally built device.

Estimation of flooding in PEMFC gas diffusion layer by differential pressure measurement
Kohei Ito,Kensuke Ashikaga,Hiromitsu Masuda,Toshihiro Oshima,Yasushi Kakimoto,Kazunari Sasaki +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple interdigitated cell where the supply gas is enforced to flow under rib was constructed to estimate the liquid water ratio in gas diffusion layer (GDL) by the measurement of differential pressure through the cell.

Helium release and microstructure of neutron-irradiated SiC ceramics
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured helium release from SiC ceramics and powders up to 2000° C. The helium release mechanism from the sintered specimen was discussed in terms of the mobility of helium atoms and vacancies, and bubbles at grain boundaries.
