TL;DR: Using qualitative data from a process evaluation of a new VCT programme at a gay sauna in California, USA, it is described how the various stakeholders overcame barriers of disparate interests and responsibilities to work together to successfully facilitate a regular and frequent on‐site VCT program that was fully utilized by patrons.

The Circulatory System: Blood Procurement, AIDS, and the Social Body in China
TL;DR: It is argued that public health and social policy solutions require consideration of the symbolic meanings of blood and the body, kin relations, and gift exchange, as well as better screening and blood testing do little to address the underlying cultural reluctance to give blood.
