TL;DR: Tenecteplase before thrombectomy was associated with a higher incidence of reperfusion and better functional outcome than alteplase among patients with ischemic stroke treated within 4.5 hours after symptom onset.

Blood-brain barrier dysfunction significantly correlates with serum matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) following traumatic brain injury.
Paul Nichols,Javier Urriola,Stephanie M. Miller,Tracey Bjorkman,Kate Mahady,Viktor Vegh,Fatima A. Nasrallah,Craig Winter +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show a correlation between DCE measures and serum matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) levels in traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients, and identify a potential biomarker for BBB dysfunction.
Treatment of a middle cerebral artery aneurysm in the setting of Loeys-Dietz syndrome: Case report and review of literature.
Ee Shern Liang,Kate Mahady,Kate Mahady,Alan Coulthard,Alan Coulthard,Craig Winter,Craig Winter +6 more
TL;DR: In this case, the MCA aneurysm neck was robust enough to take a clip without any complications, and therefore it is suggested that the presence of LDS is not an absolute contra-indication to perform open craniotomy and clipping.

Conservative management of spontaneous intraorbital arteriovenous fistulas
TL;DR: This research highlights the need to understand more fully the rationale behind the continued use of EMMARM, as well as its applications in clinical practice and in the rapidly changing environment.

E-150 Anterior cerebral artery flow diversion: 10 years‘ experience
Kate Mahady,Alan Coulthard +1 more
- 01 Jul 2022
TL;DR: Mahady et al. as discussed by the authors presented their single centre experience over ten years, alongside outcomes and complications, and concluded that flow diversion remains a safe and effective option for treatment of anterior cerebral artery aneurysms, cognisant of an associated high rate of clinically ‘silent’ caudate head infarct.
