The improvement of the in vitro plant regeneration in barley with the epigenetic modifier of histone acetylation, trichostatin A.
Katarzyna Nowak,Barbara Wójcikowska,Monika Gajecka,Anna Elżbieciak,Joanna Morończyk,Anna M. Wójcik,Przemysław Żemła,Sylvie Citerne,A. Kiwior-Wesołowska,Justyna Zbieszczyk,Małgorzata D. Gaj +10 more
TL;DR: The study demonstrated that explant treatment with chromatin modifiers such as TSA might provide a new and effective epigenetic approach to improving plant regeneration in recalcitrant barley genotypes.

Evaluation of Paraoxonase-1 and Pentraxin-3 in the Diagnosis and Prognosis of Endometrial Cancer
Mateusz Kozłowski,Kaja Michalczyk,Grzegorz Witczak,Sebastian Kwiatkowski,A. Mirecka,Katarzyna Nowak,Ewa Pius-Sadowska,Bogusław Machaliński,Aneta Cymbaluk-Płoska +8 more
TL;DR: Considering multivariate analysis, the PON1 serum level above the median is an independent favourable prognostic factor affecting PFS and OS, and considering Kaplan–Meier curves, longer recurrence-free survival and overall survival were found in patients with PON 1 levels below the median.
Evaluation of Tissue Expression of Vaspin and Serum Vaspin Concentration as a Prognostic and Risk Factor in Endometrial Cancer
Mateusz Kozłowski,Dominika Pietrzyk,Małgorzata Rychlicka,Katarzyna Piotrowska,Katarzyna Nowak,Sebastian Kwiatkowski,Aneta Cymbaluk-Płoska +6 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that endometrial cancer patients with serum vaspin concentrations above the median have longer DFS compared to patients with concentrations below the median.
miR172 Regulates WUS during Somatic Embryogenesis in Arabidopsis via AP2
Katarzyna Nowak,Joanna Morończyk,Małgorzata Grzyb,Aleksandra Szczygieł-Sommer,Małgorzata D. Gaj +4 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the mechanism of the miR172-AP2-controlled repression of WUS involves histone acetylation, which is an inhibitor of HDAC histone deacetylases in WUS control during somatic embryogenesis.
