Efficient Content Distribution in DOOH Advertising Networks Exploiting Urban Geo-Social Connectivity
Fangzhou Jiang,Kanchana Thilakarathna,Mahbub Hassan,Yusheng Ji,Aruna Seneviratne +4 more
- 03 Apr 2017
TL;DR: Simulation results show that the system targeting "cohort of users" achieves a maximum 300% improvement compared to naive distributing method in displaying ads to the "right people" when user preferences are completely known, while a minimum of 25% improvement when the knowledge of user preferences is limited.

SETA: Scalable Encrypted Traffic Analytics in Multi-Gbps Networks
Kwon Nung Choi,Achintha Wijesinghe,Chamara Kattadige,Kanchana Thilakarathna,Suranga Seneviratne,Guillaume Jourjon +5 more
- 16 Nov 2020
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a holistic architecture that can cope with encryption and multi-Gbps line rate with sampling and sketching flow statistics, which allows network operators to both accurately estimate the flow size distribution and identify the nature of VPN-obfuscated traffic.

Impact of Device Population on Beam Alignment Performance of 802.11ad
Marjan Moradi,Kanchana Thilakarathna,Ming Ding,Mahbub Hassan +3 more
- 13 Dec 2018
TL;DR: This paper quantifies the loss of antenna gain when there are multiple devices in the communication range completing for channel access to perform beamforming and studies the link outage probability for devices with angular displacement similar to change in orientation of hand-held or head-worn devices in home wireless networks.
