Compact ultra-wideband balun filter and its quasi-Yagi antenna application
Li Yang,Wai-Wa Choi,Kam-Weng Tam +2 more
- 01 Nov 2015
TL;DR: In this article, a compact quasi-Yagi antenna with ultra-wideband balun filter is presented, which is constructed with composite microstrip and slotline resonators, and the antenna gain about 1.8-6.2 dBi of the interested passband.

A low-profile circularly polarized dipole antenna using a novel polarization rotation artificial magnetic conductor
Wanchen Yang,Wenquan Che,Wai-Wa Choi,Kam-Weng Tam +3 more
- 18 Dec 2014
TL;DR: In this article, a novel polarization rotation surface based on artificial magnetic conductor structure (AMC) is proposed, which can reflect incident wave in orthogonal polarization state and simultaneously offer a 90° phase difference.

Novel defected ground structure element with triple transmission zeros and its application for multispurious suppression of microstrip parallel‐coupled‐line bandpass filter
TL;DR: In this article, a defected ground structure (DGS) element with triple transmission zeros is proposed and the zeros can be tuned individually by the DGS geometry and the overall etched area is kept as compact as that of the conventional structure with single zero.

A Planar Bidirectional Circularly Polarized Antenna Using Orthogonal Magnetic Dipoles Without Extra Phase Shift Line
Wen-Hai Zhang,Quan Xue,Wanchen Yang,Wenquan Che,Shaowei Liao,Haidong Chen,Wenjie Feng,Kam-Weng Tam +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a planar bidirectional circularly polarized (CP) antenna using orthogonal magnetic dipoles (OMDs) without extra phase shift line is proposed, which consists of a rectangular microstrip magnetic dipole antenna and a loop radiator with two arms directly connected to the open edge of MMDA.

Micro strip dual-mode bandpass filter design with simultaneous size reduction & spurious response suppression
Si-Weng Fok,Pedro Cheong,Kam-Weng Tam,Rui P. Martins +3 more
- 12 Jun 2005
TL;DR: In this paper, a dual-mode bandpass filter using square-loop resonator is proposed, and the capacitive stepped impedance inner arm is studied so as to achieve simultaneous size reduction and spurious response suppression.
