Microbially assisted arsenic removal using Acidothiobacillus ferrooxidans mediated by iron oxidation
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses have confirmed the growth of bacteria and identified the nature of precipitate generated by the bacteria.

Integrated bio-oxidation and adsorptive filtration reactor for removal of arsenic from wastewater
TL;DR: This study verified that combination of bio-oxidation with adsorptive filtration method improves the removal efficiency of arsenic and other heavy metal ions in wastewater sample.

Removal of arsenic by Acidothiobacillus ferrooxidans bacteria in bench scale fixed-bed bioreactor system
TL;DR: The present system including adsorptive-filtration was successfully used for the treatment of contaminated water containing As (III) ions and the concentration of arsenic was found to be below Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) as per WHO in treated water.
