Adaptation of the mandible in children with adenoids
Kalevi Koski,Pirjo Lähdemäki +1 more
TL;DR: In a sample of lateral x-ray cephalograms of children with obstructing adenoids, a dorsal rotation of the mandibular ramus was found to characterize the facial skeleton, suggesting the need for "tailormade" cephalometric methods in studies of specific problems is stressed.

A note on craniofacial sutural growth
TL;DR: The paper presents and discusses some features of sutural structures and trabecular patterns in bones, reflecting growth, that appear to support the idea of the outside determination of growth.

Craniofacial skeleton of 7-year-old children with enlarged adenoids
TL;DR: In a radiocephalometric study of 7-year-old children, it was found that a diagnostically useful characteristic associated with the presence or past history of enlarged adenoids is a dorsal rotation of the mandibular ramus relative to the palate.

Variability of the craniofacial skeleton
TL;DR: The findings in the Macaca mulatta were in agreement with previous findings in human children and adults as regards the parallelism between the anterior parts of the neurovascular canals of the upper and lower jaws and the apparently adaptive role of the ramus and the condyle.
