Evaluation of the temporal reconstruction methods for MODIS-based continuous daily actual evapotranspiration estimation
TL;DR: In this article , four reconstruction methods, including two interpolation methods (ET r F and EF) and two calibration methods (the advection-aridity (AA) and modified Katerji-Perrier (KP) method), were systematically evaluated to reconstruct continuous daily actual evapotranspiration (ET) from discrete daily ET based on MODIS products and atmospheric data.

Water-Food-Carbon Nexus from Producer-Consumer Link: A Review.
TL;DR: In this paper , a review delves into the interactions between diet and its potential environmental impacts, including water consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in order to support further development of the water-food-carbon nexus.

Response of the water footprint of maize production to high temperatures in the Huang-Huai-Hai region of China.
Yingjie Li,Xinyu Qi,Kaixuan Wang,Jiali Gu,Jinfeng Zhao,Xinyu Hu,Shikun Sun +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used the percentile threshold method to analyze the distribution of high-temperature events and set three types of meteorological scenarios, namely the actual temperature scenario (S1), the high temperatures in the ear stage (S2), and the high temperature in the flowering-maturity stage scenario(S3), and then the crop evapotranspiration and production WF during maize growth period were calculated.

Response of regional agricultural water use to the change of climate and plantation structure in the typical agricultural region of China
Kaixuan Wang,Shikun Sun,Yingjie Li,Xinkang Hu,Xinyu Qi,Jiahui Wang,Chong Li,Fei Gao +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated future agricultural water use with the coupling effect of climate change, irrigation efficiency and plantation structure change, and showed that the improvement of the irrigation efficiency, expansion of water-saving crop plantations and adjustment of plantation structure will moderate the adverse impact of climate changes on agricultural water consumption.
Identifying the impact of crop distribution on groundwater resources carrying capacity in groundwater-depended agricultural regions
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors used the improved GRCC index, regression functions, and random forest to identify the key factors influencing the GRCC in a groundwater over-exploited area [Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, China
