A generalized 4-unknown refined theory for bending and free vibration analysis of laminated composite and sandwich plates and shells
Othmane Allam,Kada Draiche,Abdelmoumen Anis Bousahla,Fouad Bourada,Abdeldjebbar Tounsi,Kouider Halim Benrahou,S.R. Mahmoud,E.A. Adda Bedia,Abdelouahed Tounsi +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the bending and free vibration behavior of laminated composite/sandwich plates and shells was investigated by applying an analytical model based on a generalized and simple refined higher-order shear deformation theory (RHSDT) with four independent unknown variables.

Free vibration analysis of angle-ply laminated composite and soft core sandwich plates
Meriem Sahla,Hayat Saidi,Kada Draiche,Abdelmoumen Anis Bousahla,Fouad Bourada,Abdelouahed Tounsi +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a trigonometric shear deformation model with undetermined integral terms to consider the influences of transverse deformation is applied for the dynamic analysis of anti-symmetric laminated composite and soft core sandwich plates.

Thermal flexural analysis of anti-symmetric cross-ply laminated plates using a four variable refined theory
Nasrine Belbachir,Mohamed Bourada,Kada Draiche,Abdelouahed Tounsi,Fouad Bourada,Abdelmoumen Anis Bousahla,S.R. Mahmoud +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the flexural analysis of anti-symmetric cross-ply laminated plates under nonlinear thermal loading using a refined plate theory with four variables is presented. But the boundary conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the plate are satisfied; hence the use of the transverse shear correction factors is avoided.

A trigonometric four variable plate theory for free vibration of rectangular composite plates with patch mass
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used trigonometric four variable plate theory for free vibration analysis of laminated rectangular plate supporting a localized patch mass, and showed the effects of geometrical parameters such as aspect ratio of the plate, size and location of the patch mass on natural frequencies of laminate composite plates.

A novel higher-order shear deformation theory for bending and free vibration analysis of isotropic and multilayered plates and shells
TL;DR: In this article, the bending and free vibration analysis of multilayered plates and shells is presented by utilizing a new higher order shear deformation theory (HSDT), which involves only four unknowns, which is even less than the first shear deformability theory (FSDT) and without requiring the shear correction coefficient.
