Nanoporous morphology of alumina films prepared by sol–gel dip coating method on alumina substrate
TL;DR: In this paper, Nanoporous crack free alumina thin films were fabricated in two phases gamma (γ) and alpha (α) by sol-gel dip coating method, and the thickness of the mesoporous films was increased with binder by varying its concentration, and with increasing the number of coating.

Development of MWCNTs/alumina composite-based sensor for trace level ammonia gas sensing
TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)/alumina (Al2O3) composite thin film-based low cost, rigid and highly efficient sensors were developed for trace level ammonia (NH3) gas sensing applications.

Nanoporous alumina (γ- and α-phase) gel cast thick film for the development of trace moisture sensor
TL;DR: In this paper, the capacitance of the gel-cast material is estimated on the basis of capacitance, which depend upon the water concentration and frequency of excitation in porous structure of alumina based moisture sensor.

- 17 Feb 2015
TL;DR: In this paper, the suitability of thin film nano porous γ-alumina sensor for sensing parts per million (ppm) moisture present in transformer oil was reported.

Deposition of Pristine and Functionalized MWCNTs in Alumina Matrix by Sol-Gel Technique and Investigation of their Ammonia Sensing Properties
TL;DR: In this article, two types of MWCNT composites were prepared using pristine and functionalized mWCNTs in alumina matrix by sol-gel processing and to the best of our knowledge it is a new approach in the field of CNT based ammonia gas sensors.
