An RBS study of interdiffusion across a brominated Si( 111) /Cu interface with and without a barrier layer
TL;DR: In this article, the authors showed that the native oxide layer works like a diffusion barrier, and the effect of an interposed TiNx layer on the diffusion behavior has also been investigated.

An RBS study on the annealing behaviour of Cu thin films on brominated Si(111) and Si(100) substrates
TL;DR: The thermal annealing behavior of Cu thin films deposited on Si(100) and Si(111) substrates has been studied by Rutherford backscatteringspectrometry (RBS) as discussed by the authors.

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic study of Si(111) and Si(100) surfaces with chemically adsorbed bromine
TL;DR: In this article, the chemical state and the desorption behavior of bromine adsorbed on silicon surfaces have been studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

Epitaxial growth of silver on Br-passivated Si(111) substrates under high vacuum
TL;DR: In this article, Ag thin films (∼125 nm) were deposited on Br-passivated vicinal (4° miscut) Si(111) surfaces at room temperature under high vacuum conditions, and were characterized by Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS) and channeling, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy and diffraction measurements.

Epitaxy driven fractal growth
TL;DR: Fractal structures of Au with an average dimension of 1.69±0.06 with concomitant growth of epitaxial gold silicide islands have been observed in Au thin films prepared by vacuum evaporation of Au on bromine-passivated Si (111) substrates and subsequent annealing around the Au Si eutectic temperature.
