TL;DR: In this paper, the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying lung microvascular regeneration in acute lung injury induced by lung endothelial cell ablation were defined, which revealed a remarkable regenerative capacity of the lung microvasculature orchestrated by newly emergent apelin-expressing endothelial stem-like cells primed for endothelial repair.

TL;DR: In this article , microgel encapsulation using 3.5% agarose improved cells survival and supported cell migration from capsules, and showed that even a modest increase in ECFCs persistence over 24 hours can provide an important therapeutic benefit in the rat MCT model of PAH.
