Stochastic qualitative reasoning and its application to diagnosis of air conditioning system
K. Mihara,Y. Aono,Takenao Ohkawa,Norihisa Komoda,F. Miyasaka +4 more
- 05 Sep 1994
TL;DR: A stochastic qualitative reasoning is proposed in this paper and all of the behaviors have existence probabilities, and this method is applied to diagnosis of the air conditioning system.

Diagnosis of an air conditioning system by stochastic qualitative reasoning
K. Mihara,Y. Aono,Takenao Ohkawa,Norihisa Komoda,F. Miyasaka +4 more
- 06 Nov 1994
TL;DR: A stochastic qualitative reasoning method is proposed, where the existence probability is introduced to prevent the increasing possible behaviours of the model and the states having negligible probability are eliminated.

Real-time stochastic qualitative simulation of large scale air conditioning systems
Shinji Arimoto,K. Mihara,Takenao Ohkawa,Norihisa Komoda,F. Miyasaka +4 more
- 10 Jul 1995
TL;DR: In the new algorithm, the minimum existence probability, which is the lower bound of existence probability of states being preserved, is estimated with the Monte Carlo method and the states that are insignificant for envisioning useful behaviors are removed before generating them.

Diagnosis of an Air Conditioning System by Stochastic Qualitative Reasoning
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a stochastic qualitative reasoning method to diagnose building air conditioning systems such that their configuration is various, and the existence probability is introduced to prevent the increasing possible behaviours of the model.
