Blastocyst Microinjection Automation
Leonardo S. Mattos,Edward Grant,Randy J. Thresher,K. Kluckman +3 more
- 01 Sep 2009
TL;DR: These results proved that the developed system was capable of automatic blastocyst penetration and retraction, demonstrating the success of major steps toward full process automation.

From teleoperated to automatic blastocyst microinjections: Designing a new system from expert-controlled operations
Leonardo S. Mattos,Edward Grant,Randy J. Thresher,K. Kluckman +3 more
- 14 Oct 2008
TL;DR: The goal of increasing the consistency and efficiency rates of these operations was pursued through robotics and automation, and the validity of the derived rules for automatic blastocyst microinjections was attested by demonstrating a 75% success rate.

Experiments with a teleoperated system for improved bio-micromanipulations
Leonardo S. Mattos,Edward Grant,Randy J. Thresher,K. Kluckman,Darwin G. Caldwell +4 more
- 20 Jun 2010
TL;DR: A teleoperated system that demonstrated remarkable improvements in performance and skill acquisition levels during blastocyst microinjection tasks and the incorporation of robotics into biomanipulation improves the efficiency of the operations, and of the operator, and it eliminates the need for extensive training of microin injection personnel.

478. A HIV-1 Based Cross-Packaging System for FIV Vectors
TL;DR: A tetracycline-dependent packaging cell line containing the vesicular stomatitis virus glycoprotein (VSV-G) envelope and the HIV-1 packaging cassette to cross-package a stably incorporated conditional self-inactivating FIV vector, which yielded titers equivalent to those obtained when packaged with a FIV packaging system on 293T cells.
