TL;DR: In this paper, a windowless and self-supporting ice target is described, where an ice sheet with a thickness of 29.7 mg/cm$^2$ cooled by liquid nitrogen was placed at the target position of a magnetic spectrometer and worked stably in the O(p,p')$ experiment at $E_{p}=392$ MeV.

TL;DR: In this paper, the strength of the central spin-dependent part (Vσ) of the effective nucleon-nucleon interaction was studied by using the sensitivity of the PT coefficients for the excitation of the 1+, T=0 state in 12C to the Vσ strength.
