Intensity-modulated, stepped frequency cw lidar for distributed aerosol and hard target measurements
Marc L. Simpson,Meng-Dawn Cheng,Thang Q. Dam,K.E. Lenox,Jeff R. Price,John M. E. Storey,Eric A. Wachter,W. G. Fisher +7 more
TL;DR: A compact frequency-modulated, continuous wave (FM-cw) lidar system for measurement of distributed aerosol plumes and hard targets is presented, based on intensity modulation of a laser diode and quadrature detection of the return signals.

Phenomenology of NOx Adsorber Catalysts
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of lean NOx traps was analyzed using data from highly controlled isothermal bench-flow experiments on Pt/K/Al2O3 catalysts, and it was found that the NOx storage efficiency did not increase indefinitely with increasing Pt loading.

Subscale maturation of advanced reactor technologies (SMART): A path forward for nuclear thermal propulsion fuel and reactor development
TL;DR: The Subscale Maturation of Advanced Reactor Technologies (SMART) facility is proposed in this paper to support the development of NTP engines for the Mars Exploration Program (MEP). But, it does not have the capability to conduct effects testing of individual components.

- 01 Apr 1996
TL;DR: In this paper, the HFIR-MFE-RB-200J-1 spectrally tailored capsules were disassembled and the individual specimens recovered, sorted, and identified.
