TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the biodiversity values of the western Arnhem Land plateau (the ‘stone country’) and surrounds, attempts to provide a brief assessment of condition and trends in that biodiversity, describes the responses of some biodiversity components to fire regimes, and gives guidelines for fire management that may provide for biodiversity conservation within a broader management context.
