Alkaloids and athlete immune function: caffeine, theophylline, gingerol, ephedrine, and their congeners.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined possible immunomodulatory roles of alkaloids in exercise contexts, with a focus on human studies and concluded that there is no evidence for an immuno-modulatory role of any of these compounds in energy drinks, cocoa, or ephedra products in vivo.

Exercise after influenza or COVID-19 vaccination increases serum antibody without an increase in side effects
