Electrogyration in Metamaterials: Chirality and Polarization Rotatory Power that Depend on Applied Electric Field
Qiang Zhang,Qiang Zhang,Eric Plum,Jun-Yu Ou,Hailong Pi,Junqing Li,Kevin F. MacDonald,Nikolay I. Zheludev,Nikolay I. Zheludev +8 more
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the effect of applied electric field on the chirality and polarization rotatory power of metamaterials, and proposed a method to estimate the rotational power of the electric field.

Giant Electrogyration in a Nanomechanical Metamaterial
Qiang Zhang,Eric Plum,Jun-Yu Ou,Hailong Pi,Junqing Li,Kevin F. MacDonald,Nikolay I. Zheludev +6 more
- 09 May 2021
TL;DR: In this paper, a metamaterial with a quadratic electrogyration constant of 7.8 × 10−14 rad m2 V−2 was demonstrated, which is a million times stronger than in natural materials.
