The branchless gene Clbl in watermelon encoding a TERMINAL FLOWER 1 protein regulates the number of lateral branches.
Junling Dou,Huihui Yang,Dongling Sun,Sen Yang,Shouru Sun,Shengjie Zhao,Xuqiang Lu,Huayu Zhu,Dongming Liu,Ma Changsheng,Wenge Liu,Luming Yang +11 more
TL;DR: This poster presents a probabilistic procedure to identify the phytochemical properties of fruit stem cells and its applications in agriculture and animal welfare.

Fine mapping a ClGS gene controlling dark-green stripe rind in watermelon
Dengke Wang,Minjuan Zhang,Nana Xu,Sen Yang,Junling Dou,Dongming Liu,Lei Zhu,Huayu Zhu,Jianbin Hu,Ma Changsheng,Luming Yang,Shouru Sun +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used bulked-segregant analysis (BSA) to identify the dominant gene controlling the dark-green stripe in watermelon and showed that the gene is controlled by a single dominant gene ClGS.

Characterization and bulk segregant analysis of ‘moon and star’ appearance in watermelon
Dongming Liu,Dongling Sun,Jinfang Liang,Junling Dou,Sen Yang,Huayu Zhu,Jianbin Hu,Shouru Sun,Luming Yang +8 more
TL;DR: The result of this study revealed that the chlorophyll content dramatically decreased and chloroplast structure significantly changed for the yellow spot, which were supposed to be the direct reason for fruit color change.

Molecular marker closely linked with watermelon plant tendril-free gene Clnt and application
Luming Yang,Junling Dou,Huayu Zhu,Sen Yang,Ma Changsheng,Huihui Yang +5 more
- 31 Mar 2020
TL;DR: In this paper, a molecular marker closely linked with a watermelon plant tendril-free gene Clnt and an application thereof was revealed, which can be directly used for molecular marker assisted breeding for watermelon tendril free characters.
